Academic Grievance Redressal Committee
A grievance can be defined as any communication that conveys dissatisfaction about an action or lack of action about academic issues in the institute. Students’ grievances pertaining to admission, attendance, evaluation process, violation of guidelines/policies/rules, discrimination, harassment, and other academic issues come under the purview of the committee. The committee may also work towards generating awareness amongst departmental students on what constitutes academic misconduct/malpractices from time to time. The committee is constituted as below:

Department Curriculum Review Committee
The Department Curriculum Review Committee functions as per the mandate laid down by the O/o Academic Affairs, IIT Bhilai to exercise a supervisory role in ensuring all new course proposals submitted by department faculty conform to the relevant guidelines before they are recommended for approval. The committee is constituted as below:

Departmental Library Committee
The Departmental Library Committee is responsible for maintain the department library, which is a lending library open only to the students, staff, and faculty of this department. The committee is constituted as below:

Departmental Postgraduate Committee
The Department Postgraduate Committee functions as per the mandate laid down by the O/o Academic Affairs, IIT Bhilai. It is responsible for effective functioning of the department’s PG programmes, ensuring that in all particulars relevant institute norms are adhered to. The committee is responsible for assigning TA duties as per relevant departmental and institute guidelines. Its Convenor is the department’s representative to relevant institute committees as well as the Senate. The committee is constituted as below:

Department Seminar Committee
The Seminar Committee is responsible for maintaining and improving the scholarly profile and research culture of the department by organising lectures, workshops, conferences, etc and thereby inviting external experts and scholars to interact with the departmental community from time to time.
